We as citizens
of the United States and the only super power are the present
leaders of the world.
As we begin the 21st century, our children and future leaders
need to be prepared now... not later, to understand that
freedom is not a spectator sport but a continuing process
of rights, and responsibilities.
Both the immediate and long term consequences of our actions
for living on this fragile planet need to be considered
and reconsidered.
Our children at an earlier and earlier age are being encouraged
in sports, music, computer technology, business ...
As we enter this new millennium our children need to be
schooled in a creative, engaging manner to understand that
freedom is for all regardless of race, color or creed or
social standing.
We need to share and fulfill this message with everyone
in our global village.
We will continue to use the sight, sound and symbol of the
bell to propel and foster this message.
